GDELS-Mowag GmbH combines more than 60 years of experience in the development, design and manufacture of highly sophisticated special vehicles for the military sector. The company was founded in 1950 as a private enterprise by Ing. Walter Ruf and has been part of General Dynamics European Land Systems since 2003.

The PIRANHA, EAGLE and DURO vehicles, which have been internationally successful for over 40 years, impressively demonstrate GDELS-Mowag's core competencies in the area of protection and mobility.

As a major employer in Eastern Switzerland, GDELS-Mowag employs more than 800 well-trained employees and trains more than 40 young talents in various professions every year.

More than 17,000 GDELS-Mowag vehicles are in service worldwide, having proven themselves in a wide range of applications, terrains and climatic conditions.
