In the command of the Maintenance School 43 (Kdo Ih S 43), cadres and recruits as future troop craftsmen receive the soldierly and technical training to become maintenance specialists. The training sites of Maintenance School 43 are located at the Thun or Lyss airbase, depending on the specialty.

FIS HE + IMFS:

The troop mechanics have to diagnose malfunctions and errors and repair them as quickly as possible. The IMFS and FIS HE diagnosticians are specialists in uniform who are available on the front line at any time of the day or night to maintain the telematics and IT equipment.

Hololens:

An unserem Stand werden wir die Besucher mit der HoloLens 2 in eine Mixed-Reality-Welt entführen. Diese ermöglicht dem Benutzer mit der Unterstützung durch ein Natural User Interface interaktive 3D Projektionen in der direkten Umgebung darzustellen. Die Brillen werden seit 2020 in der Ausbildung der Rekrutinnen und Rekruten zum Motormechaniker eingesetzt. Sie unterstützt bei komplexen Systemen und hilft die Vernetzung der Steuergeräte und elektrischen Verbindungen zu verstehen. Sie ermöglicht auch eine virtuelle Darstellung der Instandhaltungsanleitung und unterstützt bei Diagnosearbeiten.
